Hinterland - Ronda and the White Villages

Life in the hills and mountains of Andalusia

Ronda is surrounded by mountains and located either side of the chasm which is known as ‘The Tajo’. Ronda is one of the first towns in Spain to be on the Tourist maps.  The city has not lost its fascination over the years.

The white villages are mostly in the middle of nature parks and enjoy great views. Spend a bit of your time walking and hiking in the hinterland. You will enjoy it and experience the contrast to the fast and glamorous life on the Costa del Sol.

Small restaurant and bars, front doors in the form of curtains – that’s Casares. On the hill above the town, there is a beautiful castle ruin and a cemetery, where interesting solutions have been found for the lack of space.

Mijas is characterized by the tourist hustle and bustle in the town and has lost none of the charm nonetheless. You will find leather goods, souvenirs and some mules in the white city. In the surroundings of Mijas, the Sierra de Mijas, there are great walking routes.
